Frequently Asked Questions

Cannabis plants come in male and female, and only females produce the buds you're growing for. Feminized seeds are bred so almost every seed becomes a female plant, which means you're not spending months of space and water on a plant you'll end up pulling. Every seed in this catalog is feminized, whether it's THC, CBD, CBG, photoperiod, or autoflower.
Photoperiod plants flower when the light changes. Outdoors that happens as days shorten in late summer. Indoors you trigger it by switching to twelve hours on and twelve off. Autoflowers flower on age alone, finishing nine to twelve weeks from seed no matter what the lights do.

You can filter this catalog by either one under Flower Timing. Photoperiods give you more control over final size and yield. Autoflowers are faster and more forgiving. If you want to work through it properly, the Strain Selection Guide asks about your space and season and narrows the list for you.
Autoflower varieties are generally the most forgiving. They finish faster, stay smaller, and don't need a light schedule change, so there's less to get wrong. Our strain guide walks through the options based on your setup and what you're after. If you'd rather just describe your situation to a person, text or call us at (919) 410-6945 and we'll point you somewhere sensible.
Most home growers start with 3 to 5 seeds per variety, which allows for germination rates and gives you a few plants to choose between. If your state allows several plants, a pack of 5 to 10 gives you more room to work with. Check your state's home grow laws before ordering, since plant limits vary considerably and a few states don't permit cultivation at all.
Yes. Most varieties here do well outdoors across a range of climates. Photoperiods follow the natural light cycle and finish in early to mid fall. Autoflowers finish nine to twelve weeks from seed, which makes two outdoor harvests possible in a single season across much of the country. Our outdoor timing guide covers when to start by region, and the planting date tool gives you a window for your zip code.
Yes. Every seed we sell is a federally legal hemp seed, bred to produce plants under 0.3 percent delta-9 THC by dry weight, which is the threshold set by the 2018 Farm Bill. Depending on the variety, the finished plant may be dominant in THCa, CBD, or CBG. Licensed hemp growers ordering at volume should text or call for pricing rather than ordering through the site.
CBD (cannabidiol) and CBG (cannabigerol) are non-psychoactive compounds found naturally in the cannabis plant. People commonly report CBD as calming and supportive for rest, stress, and everyday discomfort. CBG is often described as more clarifying, associated with focus and a lighter sense of ease.

There's a practical reason to grow them too. Because the finished plant is non-intoxicating and Farm Bill compliant, CBD and CBG varieties are legal to grow in more states than THC varieties, though most states require a hemp license first. Browse the CBD collection or check your state's rules.
Yes. Cannabis seeds are classified as hemp under the 2018 Farm Bill and are legal to purchase in all fifty states. The seed itself contains no meaningful THC regardless of what the plant would eventually produce. Whether you can legally grow them is a separate question that depends entirely on your state. Our state home grow law guides cover where each state stands, including the states where cultivation is still prohibited and customers buy seeds to hold.
We ship to all fifty states. Orders are packaged discreetly and typically go out within one to two business days. Cannabis seeds are federally legal hemp, so they ship anywhere in the country, though whether you can legally plant them depends on where you are. Questions about an order or a delivery timeline? How to Narrow This Down

This page holds the full catalog, which is a lot to look at if you're not sure what you're after. The filters above cut it down quickly, but two of them use terms that aren't obvious unless you've been around the industry for a while. Here's what they actually mean.

Reading the filters

What each filter actually means

Strain Type

This is chemotype, meaning which cannabinoid dominates the finished plant.

Type 1 is THC dominant, the traditional choice.

Type 2 is balanced THC and CBD, often described as gentler than THC alone.

Type 3 is CBD dominant and non-intoxicating.

Type 4 is CBG dominant, also non-intoxicating.

Genetic Lineage

Sativa, indica, or hybrid. This describes the plant's ancestry and roughly predicts its structure and reported effects.

Sativa leaning varieties are more often associated with uplifting, energizing effects and taller plants. Indica leaning varieties are more often associated with relaxing effects and shorter, bushier growth. Most modern varieties are hybrids somewhere between the two.

Flower Timing

Photoperiod or autoflower, which is the single biggest practical difference between two seeds.

Photoperiods flower when you change their light schedule, which gives you control over size and yield. Autoflowers flower on their own timeline, finishing nine to twelve weeks from seed. If you have a short season or a small space, start here.
